Night Terrors

A short poem

A break in the sky

The glow of the sun

It pains me to see

I’ve hurt someone

The drop of a petal

From a rose so fine

It’s like watching such beauty

Wither and decline

The woods are dark

They are scary at night

I want to cover up

And pretend she is alright
